Course Description:
This course aims to expand students’ scientific knowledge, foster critical thinking skills, and ignite a passion for scientific inquiry through a series of engaging lessons, hands-on experiments, and interactive discussions.
The approach of this course is to tailor the learning experience to the local standard in the school district of each student. However, in cases where the local standard is not specified or for students seeking Risingbell’s structured curriculum, we offer a default curriculum, which is subsequently described.
In this course, students will delve into the captivating world of science, exploring key concepts in biology, chemistry, physics, and earth sciences. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to align with middle school science standards while catering to the unique interests and learning styles of this age group.
Tutors will employ innovative teaching strategies, utilizing live virtual sessions, multimedia presentations, and interactive simulations to make the learning process engaging and dynamic. Students will actively participate in discussions, collaborate on projects, and have ample opportunities to ask questions, ensuring a rich and interactive learning environment.
