They will also delve into age-appropriate texts that align with their cognitive and emotional development, encouraging critical thinking and analysis.

The course will focus on the following key areas:

  1. Reading Comprehension: Students will learn and apply effective reading strategies such as summarizing, making inferences, identifying main ideas, and analyzing supporting details. They will engage in discussions and written assignments that require them to analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information from different sources. Students will be encouraged to express their thoughts clearly and provide evidence to support their opinions.

  1. Independent Reading: To foster a love for reading, students will have opportunities for independent reading, where they can explore books of their choice within the appropriate reading level and genre. This self-directed reading time allows students to develop their reading stamina, expand their interests, and apply the skills they have learned in the course.

They will employ a variety of instructional strategies, including interactive discussions, guided readings, vocabulary-building exercises, and collaborative projects, ensuring an engaging and supportive learning environment.
